Create an action while inspecting

Recording a deviation is not enough — someone has to fix it. That is the Create an action gesture, available under every question during capture.

An action born from a question leaves pre-filled with its context:

  • the question’s label and the answer given;
  • the photos attached to the question;
  • the inspection’s site.

All that is left is to sharpen it: title, description, assignee, priority, due date — the form is the same as for a standalone action.

The action stays tied to its question: capture shows the actions born from each question, the summary attaches them to their findings, and the report prints them alongside. Meanwhile it lives its life in the Actions screen — assignment, due date, feed, closing — like any other.

When a rule carries Require an action, the triggering answer shows the Action required requirement: until an action is born from that question, the inspection cannot be finished. That is the structural guarantee that no non-compliance goes unanswered.
