Scores and weighting

An inspection’s score is a percentage: points earned over points possible, computed at the end and shown on the summary as on the report.

Where points come from

  • Every option of a response set (and every option of a multiple choice) carries a score.
  • The chosen answer brings its points; the question’s maximum makes the points possible.
  • A question with no score (text, media, instruction…) does not count — it enters neither numerator nor denominator.

A question’s weight

The Score weight setting multiplies a question: at weight 3, it weighs three times an ordinary question — so “the emergency exit” counts for more than “the signage is clean”.

What does not count

  • Questions never asked — hidden by logic, or after a “Skip to the end” — leave the calculation entirely: a shortened questionnaire is not penalized.
  • N-A exists for this: the Not applicable option of the standard sets carries no points and removes the question from the calculation, instead of counting it as a failure.
