Working offline

Verifline is built for places with no signal: basements, cold rooms, underground parking, dead zones. The principle takes three beats: preload before, capture during, sync after.

Before: preload

On the Inspections screen, every accessible template carries its preload state. Preload (with network) puts the questionnaire on the device. A template not preloaded says so plainly when you try to start: “Template not preloaded” — do it at the office, not at the bottom of the basement.

During: capture as usual

Without network, the app keeps going: the Offline badge shows, and capture works identically — answers, notes, photos, actions. Everything writes to the device, in order, waiting for the network to come back.

The interface contracts rather than lying: screens that live off the server show “Available online only”, and the dashboard freezes on its last numbers — dated “Numbers as of {time}”, so you know what you are reading.

After: sync

When the network returns, the app replays your writes in order — the “{n} not synced” counter melts to zero. Sync forces the pass right away if you would rather not wait.

Syncing is replayable without duplicates: an inspection sent twice (hiccuping network, app relaunched) exists once. Notifications do not ring twice either.

One device, your entries

Until it is synced, your work lives on the device that made it. Do not clear the browser’s data with a non-zero counter — and let the sync finish before switching devices.
