The organization's policy
The personal preference tunes one’s own emails; the organization’s policy tunes the system — what gets notified, and to whom. It lives in Organization settings → Notifications, in the hands of administrators only.
Cutting a kind for everyone
Section titled “Cutting a kind for everyone”Every event kind carries its organization switch. A kind cut here stops going out entirely — no email, no bell, for anyone; personal preferences show it as “Disabled by your organization”.
Choosing who is told
Section titled “Choosing who is told”For action events, the policy picks the audiences — Notify: Creator / Assignee / External contributor: check who should be, uncheck the rest. An organization where the creator does not want to follow every comment unchecks it once, for all.
The automatic external link
Section titled “The automatic external link”The automatic contributor link switch decides whether assigning to an external email sends the link by itself, or whether sending stays a manual gesture (Send by email) case by case.
